The Highland Chamber has regular membership Lunch meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at Noon (Networking at 11:30) at member restaurants on a rotation schedule. Our next Membership meeting is Tuesday, June 11 at Garfield Lodge No. 569, located at the Highland Masonic Temple, 2234 Martha Street.  Lunch will be catered by Amici Grill & Pizzeria and Squigi's Pizza.

bullet Dollars for Scholars: The Highland Chamber awards two scholarships every year to Highland High School students: $1000 Chris Hubbard Memorial Scholarship and $500 Buck For a Basket.

What Else is New?

NEW EVENTS! The Highland Chamber is planning a few  new events for 2013! 
The Highland Chamber hosted the Inagural  Best of HIghland event on March 7, 2013, at Wicker Park Social Center.. Business Members and Leaders from the Highland Community were honored at this event, including Businessmen and Women, Innovators, Educators, Civil Servants, and Residents.The event also featured participating Chamber Member restaurants who competed in the Taste of Highland portion of the event. (Voting for Best Restaurant Award at event.) Download a list of the 2012 Best of Highland Finalists here. Congratulations to Traditions Restaurant & Pub, who won the Top Taste Award.
The Highland Chamber hosted Pizza Palooza, a pizza tasting contest on May 13, 2013 at Wicker Park Social Center. The event featured Chamber restaurants who serve or deliver pizza to Highland. Tickets to the event ($15) included pizza sampling and beer tasting from 3 Floyds Brewery in Munster. Meat and vegetarian options were available from each participating pizza restaurant. Only 300 tickets were sold for this 21 and over event, and participants got to vote for for their favorite pizza at the event. Capri's Pizza , located at 837 Main Street in Schererville, was voted favorite pizza at the 2013 Pizza Palooza. You can find out more about Capri's Pizza at www.caprispizza1955.com.

REGISTER FOR THE TOUR DE HIGHLAND!
Register for the Tour de Highland through Friday, May 24 for $10 per person. Late registration (May 25- June 1 at the event) for $15
The 10 mile family-friendly bike ride through Highland includes a cook out lunch provided by Texas Corral and a promotional giveaway.
